(This one’s for you, Smitty.) I love musicals. I’ve been acting in plays since I was little and even majored in Theatre in college, but musicals are my favorites. However, I have not seen either High School Musical or High School Musical 2. Really the only thing I know about them is that Vanessa girl’s naughty picture thing. But this video was sent to me yesterday and I can’t stop watching it. Who doesn’t love baseball players being cute and playful?
I love it that the Cardinals representation is David Eckstein and So Taguchi. That sounds about right. Jake Peavy keeps cracking me up. The little clips of players dancing with each other during games are awesome. Also, I’m pretty sure I saw Bronson Arroyo in there and I’m disappointed they didn’t hand him a lute and let him jam. Anyway, in the wake of yesterday’s circus, it’s just kind of a nice reminder that baseball is awesome and players are likeable.
These are the players in the video: Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, and Jimmy Rollins (Philadelphia Phillies); Jake Peavy (San Diego Padres); Justin Verlander (Detroit Tigers); Craig Biggio (Houston Astros); David Eckstein and So Taguchi (St. Louis Cardinals); Bronson Arroyo (Cincinnati Reds); C.C. Sabathia (Cleveland Indians); Nick Swisher (Oakland A’s); Jeff Francoeur and Brian McCann (Atlanta Braves); B.J. Upton (Tampa Bay Devil Rays); Bill Hall and J.J. Hardy (Milwaukee Brewers); and Luis Gonzalez, Takashi Saito and Nomar Garciaparra (Los Angeles Dodgers).
They didn’t invite any Yankees or Red Sox. Or none of them would do it. Either way, heh heh.
